Being an Old Lady

I think my friends would agree that I can be an old lady sometimes. Before you close this tab, let me explain.

• I like playing and listening to classical music.

• I like going to orchestral concerts and operas.

• I like baking.

• I like knitting. (Fun fact: my grandparents recently bought a rocking chair and I took that as a sign to embrace my inner old woman and spent the rest of that afternoon knitting on it.)

• I document everything any child related to me does. Basically, I have a bunch of pictures of my younger cousins and my sister. Here’s a recent one from Legoland (yes, we’re wearing matching shirts):

The great thing I discovered about college is that you have more free time than you had in high school, so you can prioritize your activities based on your workload (which is terrific for old ladies like myself). Granted, that doesn’t mean you get every weekend to yourself, but it’s definitely easier to balance your personal and academic lives.
