Dining in LA

One of the greatest parts about going to school in a huge city like Los Angeles is that the dining options are literally endless.  I have so much fun trying new restaurants with my friends, and no matter what we’re craving, there’s sure to be something fabulous close by.

The above picture is of Bacaro, one of my favorites.  It’s a small wine bar that’s only a few minutes from campus, and Campus Cruiser (USC’s free transportation system) will even take you there free of charge, so there’s no need to deal with cabs.  It’s the perfect place for small get togethers or larger gatherings, as they have a tapas style menu that has something for everyone.

LA Live is another close by place that’s a lot of fun – it’s right down the street, and in addition to the bowling alley and theater there, there are tons of great restaurants.  For just an idea, they have Katsuya, Trader Vic’s, Yardhouse, and more.  It’s one of my favorite places to dine, because there is always something exciting happening in the Nokia Plaza.  Last time I was there, they were breaking Guinness World Records, so we stopped and watched for a few after our meal.

I have barely even skimmed the surface of what’s available around here – but rest assured, if you come to school in Los Angeles, you will definitely eat well.
