Eating in Downtown L.A.
Whether it’s to celebrate a birthday, an internship offer, an anniversary, or simply just to eat somewhere nice because you are tired of eating at the dining commons, you can always visit the many restaurants and cafes in Downtown Los Angeles. Downtown is only a ten to twenty minute drive (depending on traffic) from USC!
I’m a huge foodie and I love eating, looking at, and writing about food. Here are some of my all-time favorite places to eat in Los Angeles:
They have delicious sandwiches, tea, and best of all, desserts! Their macaroons are simply to die for. This place is perfect for a romantic date or a lunch with a couple of friends.
They have so many options here. This place is good when you are eating with a large group of people with different taste buds. Panini Cafe has salads, sandwiches, bagels, kabobs, and all types of meat/vegetarian dishes! They also are known for having yummy brunch/lunch options.
Octopus is for those of you who love seafood and Japanese food. They have so many options from exotic seafood dishes to tempura and calamari. This place is great for those of you who want to try something new or different. It’s a fun and trendy place to eat and many USC students are often spotted eating at Octopus.
Basically, you can’t go wrong with Urth Caffe. This one is my personal favorite. Their bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are delicious. But best of all, their lattes and teas are prime and a favorite among USC students alike. Many eat at Urth Caffe for a nice Saturday morning brunch with friends.
