Football is over, now what??

As EVERYONE should know, we just won the Rose Bowl!!! But after all this excitement, what comes next? Is anyone experiencing withdrawal symptoms? There are other options! There is so much hype around football at this school that people seem to forget about the other great sports we have as well as events going on throughout the year. Basketball season started and we just beat the Bruins! For the first time ever the USC Kaufman School of Dance will be putting on a Dance on! Week at USC on April 4th. This week will be packed full of exciting performances which will end with the Spring Dance Performance. The USC Thornton Opera program will be performing Friday, February 3rd. Jazz Night will occur on Thursday, February 16 at the Ground Zero Performance Café featuring the USC Thornton Concert Jazz Orchestra. These are just a couple of the numerous events that Thornton has throughout the semester. Another great resource to take advantage of are the USC Visions and Voices events that are free for current students. Some of the exciting events coming up soon include: The Los Angeles Philharmonic: Romeo and Juliet with Dudamel on February 2nd, 500 Years of Utopia: Utopian Representations on February 7th, and Cyber Wars and Global Politics: Fred Kaplan and General David Petraeus in Conversation on March 9th. USC also offers a multitude of intramural sports and club sports which are great ways to supplement class and work, USC actually has over 58 student run clubs! This is an incredible school with so much offer- football is just a small part of the overall experience!
