Marshall’s Centers of Excellence
Marshall’s Centers of Excellence are not popularly known, making them hidden gems for Marshall students. Each center focuses on different implications of business, performs research, and provides students and faculty the resources and programs for mutual benefit. Through utilizing their services, Marshall students are able to interact directly with experts and professionals of the industry, a large number of which are Trojan Alumni!
A little known fact about the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is that one of USC’s most respected student orgs, Spark SC, is sponsored by this center. The goal of Spark SC is to inspire a culture of innovation, expose students to hands-on experiences, support current innovators with mentorship, and connect like-minded individuals within the community. In this way, students are able to collaborate with their peers in a structured environment, and they can always reach out to the Greif Center for advisement and support.
In addition to that, this center holds various venture competitions and innovative initiatives to encourage students to stretch their creativity and business skills. A good number of the aspiring entrepreneurs I know participate in any and all of the programs offered by the center. This is definitely a great resource to take advantage of as a Trojan!
