Even though I am already a sophomore (it is still hard to believe, time really does fly by), there are still plenty of items to check off on my college bucket list. Here are a few of them:
1. Partake in the fountain run – Every year in the spring, USC seniors go on the Annual Fountain Run to celebrate their last week at USC and as seniors. Many seniors sport floaties, bathing suits, costumes, swimming trunks, and sometimes even swimming goggles and jump into all of the fountains at USC at night. Seeing as there are many fountains all over campus, this is not exactly an easy task, but can be fun and exciting when doing it with your entire senior class.
2. Get front row seats for a football game – Seats in the student section are first come first serve so it is definitely not impossible to get front row seats. Many of my friends have already done so, having gone hours before the game starts to reserve their seats. However, since my favorite part of game days is tailgating, I have yet to go to The Coliseum so early to reserve front row seats. But from what I hear, it is definitely worth it! I plan on being able to check this one off my bucket list by the end of next football season!
3. Study in Mudd Hall Philosophy Library – Studying in the MHP Library is like studying in Hogwarts! My biggest dream has always been to receive a letter from Hogwarts telling me that I am magical (this dream has yet to come true and I am well past the age of eleven), so studying in a place that looks exactly like the library of Hogwarts is naturally on my USC bucket list!
4. Go to the annual Weekender – Every football season, USC plays an away game at either Stanford or UC Berkeley (Cal). Tons of USC students drive up (or fly) to San Francisco for a weekend of football, fun, exploring SF (and seeing the Golden Gate Bridge), and meeting up with Nor Cal friends! I have yet to make this epic trip myself, but many of my friends have gone to “the Weekender” in the past and have had a blast! My roommates and I are already planning to go to the Weekender this upcoming football season for our game (ahem, victory) against Cal!
