My Favorite and Most Challenging Project at Marshall
Featured in SharkTank, Wall Street Journal, Tech Crunch, and Entrepreneur, Miso Media is a start up company that created a revolutionary music app for the Ipad and Iphone. In my BUAD 311 Class (Marketing Fundamentals), I had the unique opportunity to work alongside with Miso Media to create a marketing strategy.
We assessed data on competitors and gathered data on customer demographics to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand. After we compiled all of our findings, my teammates and I developed an effective marketing strategy as well as a paper and video advertisement.
After we presented our findings to the company and our professor (Ira Kalb), the president of Miso Media congratulated our group for doing an excellent job and personally requested for our particular Powerpoint Presentation and video advertisement! Here are some of the slides from my PowerPoint:
Although challenging, this project has been my favorite at USC Marshall. Because we were working directly working with a real company, it felt like we were really actually working in the ‘real world’ , when actually we were in a class.
I love how Marshall classes are designed for students to learn in an experiential environment, not just an academic environment.
