Spring break is over, and on top of midterms, I am feeling the pressure to finalize summer plans. There are two different paths I am contemplating. On one hand, I am thinking about pursuing a double major in business and accounting. In this case, I would need to take extra classes this summer. On the other hand, I am considering getting an internship for the summer. Despite being somewhat stressed about this decision, I have found relief through the support Marshall provides. Here are some resources I have used to aid me in making my summer decisions:
- The Marshall Office of Undergraduate Advising – The Marshall Office of Undergraduate Advising provides daily walk-in hours (no appointments necessary).
- Marshall Career Advising – They also have daily walk-in hours and are an amazing resource for career advice, guidance, and making connections.
- Connect SC and Marshall Career Source – Job and internship databases (the former for all USC students, and the latter for business and accounting majors only).
- Coffee Chats – I have reached out to many alumni with similar career interests to hear about their perspectives and experiences. They have provided amazing guidance and support, and in many cases, connected me with other friends, students, and professionals. This is yet another example of the strength of the Trojan Network.
A final decision will need to be made in the next couple of weeks…I will keep you posted!
