I can’t believe that yesterday was the last day of classes. This year has flown by so quickly and summer is fast approaching. My summer plans will revolve around three areas:
Summer Classes. I will be staying at USC this summer to take a couple of required Marshall courses. Doing so will give me flexibility to take additional business electives of interest during my junior and senior years. I am excited for my first LA summer.
Playing Golf. Golf has always been a passion of mine. My schedule, especially this year, was extremely hectic with classes and extracurriculars, and as a result, I did not have as much time as I would have liked for this game. I play golf not only because it is a physical undertaking that requires a combination of precise hand-eye coordination and focus, but also because it is an activity that entails mental strength, an overall strategy, tactical decisions, and a substantial dose of patience. I look forward to exploring many of the amazing courses in LA this summer.
Networking and career plans. As I prepare for junior year, I am contemplating a few different career paths. Staying in LA this summer will give me the opportunity to network with alumni in the industries in which I am interested and do informational interviews in an attempt to determine which path is the best fit for me.
