The Semester of Getaways: Long Weekends and Spring Break
Spring semester is here and that means getaways on the three day weekends (President’s day and MLK), Spring Break, and many more relaxing weekends at school and away!
I’ll take you through some of my past and future weekend trips. First, last MLK weekend (Freshman year) my girl friends and I decided to road trip to Tahoe for the long weekend. We skied, hung out, and just had an all around great time. Here’s a few of us on the mountain:
Then, over spring break last year I had the amazing opportunity to join the Marshall Global Leadership Program and travel to Shanghai, China. All Freshmen in the Marshall School are able to join either GLP or LINC and travel to a variety of destinations around the globe either over spring break or at the beginning of summer. I have friends who went to Buenos Aires, Sydney, Hong Kong, and more, and everyone loved it. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had to date, and one of my favorite aspects of USC Marshall’s program. Here’s a picture of Shanghai:
This year, over MLK weekend, my friends and I decided to go skiing and snowboarding again, but this time we went to Big Bear. It’s only a little bit over 2 hours away, so it was a super easy trip. Twenty of us went out and rented a cabin for the weekend, and some of my favorite college memories happened that weekend. Here are some of my friends on the slope:
Up next: Catalina next weekend for President’s day with my best friend’s family! I’ve never been, but I’ve heard amazing things. Can’t wait to spend time at this beautiful place —
Then the final trip of the year will be Cabo over spring break with tons of my friends!! I’ve had such amazing adventures, and there are sure to be many more. Just another reason that I love being in Southern California.
