USC Helps Clear Bucket Lists!
Living in a large city like Los Angeles, grants you with the opportunity to embark on several adventures that could not be made possible in other locations. In Los Angeles you could be walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and pass by a famous actor or actress. You have access you performances to fit all tastes. There are enough museums to keep you busy for days and enough delicious places to eat to keep you full and happy for what seems like forever.
I have already begun to take advantage of the abundance of opportunities available at USC. Before coming to college I had only been to one beach: Brighton Beach in Coney Island, New York. It hardly counts as a real beach. Now I can say I know what a real beach is like. I’ve seen several free concerts. I’ve spent a large portion of my money appeasing my palate and my stomach. I’ve learned about the arts through museums and USC events. I’ve walked by Adam Sandler on campus. I’ve going to see the LA Philharmonic for free at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I’ve seen Spanish artists like the Gipsy Kings and Buena Vista Social Club for free at the Hollywood Bowl. I’ve seen artists like Macklemore, Childish Gambino, and Wynter Gordon perform outside of my dorm window for free. I’ve gone on spontaneous trips to Hollywood to see an exclusive performance of Mumford and Sons, once again FOR FREE! I’ve traveled around various cities in the Great Los Angeles Area to attend various events that I could not visit in other various states…Several of which are FREE.
I love Los Angeles. LA is a place in which you can easily and quickly knock things out your bucket list. My list gets shorter and shorter everyday live here.
