USC vs. Stanford Game
During this past weekend, I went to my first football game of the year between USC and Stanford. And let me tell you, even though I’m not a big football fan, this game was crazy amazing! Although we were the underdog of the game playing against Stanford, who is ranked 4th in the nation, we beat them with a score of 20-17. It was the most intense game of the year because we were tied with Stanford until the fourth and last quarter. In the last quarter, we managed not only to block a kick, but we also managed to score a 47-yard field goal with 19 seconds left of play.
All the students were cheering so hard and when the game finished, we rushed down to the field. The scene was unimaginable – thousands of students came down from the stands onto the field. The field became packed to the point where you couldn’t turn around without being an inch away from someone.
I can tell you that at that moment, I definitely felt the Trojan connection. Regardless of who it was – parents, students, faculties- everyone was high-fiving and hugging one another. I can’t even fully express what I felt because there was just so much joy and happiness. I was extremely proud to be a Trojan.
As you can tell from this picture, I was pretty happy. For my last game of my senior year, it was worth it and now that we’ve finally beat Stanford after 4 years, I can graduate in peace. Fight on!
