What are you looking forward to doing this semester?

I am really excited for this semester! When I think this semester, there are two things that specifically come to my mind about what I am excited about, exploring L.A. and my GLP trip. First, I would like to learn more about Los Angeles. I think that it is a great city to be in that has so much to offer. There are so many places I want to visit and activities I want to do around L.A., and last semester went by so fast, so I am excited to have more time to go and explore. This past weekend, I went and hiked by the Hollywood sign for the first time, which I loved doing. It is a fun hike to do with friends and there is a great view of the Hollywood sign. It is so easy to get to Santa Monica with the direct route right from campus, so I would like to go there more often and explore that area. I also think it would be fun to rent bikes there and ride along the strand to see all of the different beaches in that area. Another destination on my list is the Griffith Observatory, which I have heard has amazing views of L.A. and interesting space exhibits.

I am especially looking forward to my spring break trip in March where I will be going to China with my Global Leadership Program class. During this week, we will be visiting both Shanghai and Beijing and having the opportunity to meet with businesses in both locations. I have never been to China, so I am very excited to explore a new place. It will be an amazing experience being able to learn from the various businesses that we visit. Everyone who has participated in this trip has had so many positive things to say about it, and I definitely think it will be an unforgettable experience here at USC.
