What the trojan family means to me

To me, the Trojan Family means security. It is a network of students and alumni who look out for each other, help build each other up and support each other. Many people describe the Trojan Family as a sense of belonging. My very first time on campus was the USC Explore Day for admitted students and I felt that sense of belonging right away. Oddly enough, one of the quintessential moments that really highlights the Trojan Family for me is when the Trojan Marching Band performs (if you were unaware, our band is the only collegiate band to have two platinum records and they have performed with multiple celebrities). The band is extremely uplifting and fun and everyone lights up when they perform. Also their uniforms are dope (in my opinion). It really brings the school together when the band is playing and it is one of my favorite experiences at USC. This is just one of the embodiments of the Trojan Family. You can feel the sense of community as soon as you step on campus and there are organizations such as the USC Alumni Association and Alumni Career services that will support you even after graduation!
