When applying to college, I didn’t really know what major I wanted to apply into. I knew I could rule out a few options: science, art, and history. That left me with a few large majors: Business vs Communication.
Ultimately I ended up picking business because it was the broadest major I could think of that also allowed me a lot of room to grow as well as explore other areas. If you’re not already familiar with the Marshall curriculum, once finishing your “business core,” have have free range with your electives. You could choose to take one elective in three different ares of interest or you could choose to take three classes in your area of interest, it’s really all up to you. I loved that through that core I could see all different areas of business, and then based on that, I could choose what area I wanted to devote more time to.
I also can’t go without saying that the international freshman experience, LINC, sold me! To this day, I still think it’s one of the coolest opportunities a university could offer to a Freshman!
